New Chip Kelly issues in 4-6 Weeks?
Radio host Brian Berger from 750 The Game teased this morning that a new Oregon story involving Chip Kelly would drop in “approximately 4-6 weeks.”
I found it odd that the news was to revolve around Chip Kelly and no current or former players. That’s how he made it sound at least. More importantly, if the story is coming from the athletic department and not an outside entity (Yahoo!, ESPN, etc.) wouldn’t they take decisive action if it was something detrimental to the football program? Either way, let the speculation begin.
*UPDATE* – I referenced Brian Berger on Twitter in regard to the article and he responded with this: “Never said my source was inside UO athletic dept. Go back and listen to my podcast of today’s show.” I’ve amended the article to reflect this.
750 The Game hasn’t uploaded the podcast from today’s show but when they do I’ll link it here.
*UPDATE #2* – Mysteriously, it seems that 750 The Game won’t be uploading the podcast from Berger’s show that he referred me to yesterday. They had no problem immediately uploading a segment from today’s show and from earlier in the week but 9/14 is left blank. Why it has been omitted is anyone’s guess.
*UPDATE #3* – Out of pure curiosity, I was checking out www.firechipkelly.com to see if the website was still functional. Lo and behold, the author is actually linking this article on his homepage in attempt to fuel the hate! How ironic considering I blasted this person with my, “Ultimate Knee Jerk Reaction” post a week ago. After doing more browsing I noticed that he readily responds to feedback. Here’s what I sent him in an e-mail:
Dearest Dr. Duck,
As co-creator of The Ducking Beaver I am extremely flattered you have read the blog and even felt inclined to post one of my articles to your site. Unfortunately, you must’ve missed the article I wrote about you and your site a week ago. I wouldn’t want you to miss it:

Feel free to link it for your readers as well. I’m sure they’ll love it.

As a Beaver fan, I can only hope it’s something embarrassing to the ducks. But as a person, I hope it’s nothing about his personal life. There’s no need for that.
I respect your fanhood Mike because it only makes the rivalry that much better. You’re right though, if it has to do with some personal transgressions then that would be very below average.
Love the Captain Falcon reference.
Haha, Thanks Bryce!
Still waiting for that podcast upload, Brian Berger!
